How often are computer account passwords changed in Active Directory? We have some computers that have been out of touch for 30-45 days - will they be a problem?

By default it is 30 days ... so yes, your clients might expirience problems but it depends on the actuall period computer will be disconnected from network.You can control this behaviour and extend this period or disable password change (not recommended). Details are provided in this blog post:
