I'm going to be starting something (weekly I hope) that I trust you will find valuable. I'll be keeping tabs on the movers and shakers in the Active Directory related space and reporting back what they are up to and what I think is worth your time to follow up. I'll round 'em up and you can check 'em out.
First up out of the chute, Dmitiry Sotnikov has posted a useful PowerShell expression to find all groups that I manage. He also demonstrates how to find all groups managed by people who report to you! You'll need v1.3 of the Quest AD cmdlets. In the Group Policy space, the Microsoft Group Policy team posted a link to a video by Group Policy MVP and guru Jeremy Moskowitz on how to install the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC). Be sure to read their comments before looking at the video. Finally Jackson Shaw has a nice followup recommendation on a PKI management tool. This is a PowerGUI PowerPak that lets you manage just about everything you need regarding certificates. And don't let PowerShell scare you off. You don't need to touch a single command line. This is all GUI. I've used this myself and it is nice to have all the management you need in one place.
If there is a blog or resource you want to make sure I track, please leave a comment. We want this to be your community.
