The ActiveRoles Management Shell for Active Directory is a set of PowerShell commands (CMDLETs) that can be downloaded and used for free to perform administrative tasks within Active Directory. Microsoft PowerShell is a new admin-focused command line and scripting language developed by Microsoft to let administrators work more efficiently with applications running on the Windows Platform.
